*UV printers use ink very efficiently and only use very small amounts of ink when printing. A 30x30mm full colour logo printed onto a golf ball would use apx. 0.015ml of ink, so 4x220ml (CMYK) ink cartridges could print over 58,000 golf balls.
**UV printers automatically utilise 'cleaning cycles', where ink is circulated inside the printer and expelled through the print head (into the waste tank). Cleaning cycles can use several milliliters of ink per day.

Roland's optional BD-8 rotary attachment allows rotational printing of cylindrical items.
Bottles, flasks, cups and cosmetics are the most popular cylindrical items for UV printing.
Coated metals and plastics are the most suitable materials for the UV printing of drinkware.

Epson's V-1000 does not currently have a rotary attachment tool for rotationally printing cylindrical products.
Cylindrical items can still be mounted and printed on to the flatbed of the printer, but the print area is significantly reduced and limited to the 'flat' area of the product.

The BD-8 model is very well suited to printing UV-DTF decal transfers.
The white, CMYK and gloss inks are printed directly to the glue-film-material placed on the flat bed before being transferred to the hot laminator and being laminated with the transfer-film-material.
Epson's V-1000 model is very well suited to printing UV-DTF decal transfers.
