Epson's UV inks for this printer are supplied in 140ml pouches, minimising waste and packaging.
PRINT MATT or HIGH GLOSS VARNISH
The V1000's ink set includes gloss varnish, allowing you to print a matt or glossy layer of clear ink.
Printing matt varnish ink as a base layer promotes ink bonding and improves adhesion in a similar way to a primer ink.
Printing a glossy varnish layer over your artwork provides a more robust and scratch resistant finish and allows for attractive 3D printed effects.
POWERFUL RIP SOFTWARE
Epson's included Edge Print RIP software is the only software you'll need to print effectively and intuitively on the V1000 UV printer.

MAINTENANCE

PRINTING ON CURVES WITH WIDE GAP MODE
The wide gap mode employs a large dot type for achieving high-density printing, even when the printhead is not in close proximity to the substrate.
This mode is ideal for curved surfaces or instances with small height variations between objects.
Note that for distance mode the recommended distance/height is less than 4mm.

ENABLING SECURE POSITIONING
Vacuum print beds are usually only found on much larger and much more expensive flatbed printers.
The inclusion of a vacuum bed on a small format flatbed UV printer is another industry first.
The main advantage of a vacuum bed is the ability to hold still and fix non-rigid materials like vinyl and DTF film in place.
2-PRINTERS-IN-1
The vacuum bed and the gloss ink printing ability on this printer enable this machine to be much more than a regular flatbed UV printer.
Printing specially adapted UV DTF material and then hot roll laminating it to create "printed decals" ensures you can personalise a much wider range of non-flat products.
There are often some compromises, like this method can reduce the level of scratch resistance (offset by printing a glossy clear varnish layer on top), and is an exceptional added benefit to this printer.

HIGH SPEED : STANDARD : HIGH QUALITY
You have a variety of print settings at your disposal, allowing you to prioritise either print speed or quality and detail.
The largest factors determining print speed are your print detail requirements and the size of the area you are printing.
Printing CMYK only requires one single pass, while White + CMYK requires two passes, and adding a gloss layer of ink requires a third pass.
This is why print speeds can vary between each job, from 30secs to apx. 10 minutes.
EFFICIENT INK CONSUMPTION
Printing a reasonably colourful image on a phone case, using Wh+CMYK on a high speed setting would use apx. 0.07ml of CMYK ink and 0.4ml of white ink.
